If you’ll be visiting Boston this winter, prepare yourself for a winter wonderland of activity. Capture the spirit of the season at the SoWa 11th Annual Holiday Market, or engulf yourself in the first annual Winter Wonderland at Boston’s City Hall.
SoWa Holiday Market: Featuring many of New England’s independent designers, artists and crafters, the holiday market offers the most variety in original gifts. Shop for an array of goods including handbags, jewelry, pottery, letterpress stationery, silk-screened t-shirts, baby accessories and more! This handmade holiday market takes place Dec. 10 and 11 in the historic main building of the Benjamin Franklin Institute, located in the heart of Boston’s South End.
‘Boston Winter’: Starting this December, Boston’s iconic City Hall Plaza will be transformed into a winter wonderland, featuring a holiday shopping market and a nearly 11,000-square-foot outdoor ice skating rink. The seasonal space will be open seven days a week starting Dec. 2. You’ll find a boutique shopping market with stalls from local vendors selling everything from artisan olive oils to inspired jewelry and accessories. The market will close New Year’s Eve but the skating rink will remain through February.
