Our XV Beacon concierge team is ready to help you plan your springtime in Boston. Whether you’re looking for Red Sox tickets, or just want to take a spin around the Greenway Carousel before enjoying dinner al fresco in one of Boston’s best neighborhoods, we’ll help you plan the perfect day.
Here a few things you shouldn’t miss if you’re visiting Boston this Spring:
The Rose Kennedy Greenway Carousel: The Greenway Carousel features 14 different characters native to the land, sea and sky of Massachusetts. Hop on a sea turtle, a cod, a peregrine falcon, a grasshopper, a harbor seal, a fox, a skunk, a whale, three types of butterflies, a barn owl, and a sea serpent for a ride around with family and friends. The carousel is located next to the Boston Harbor Islands Pavilion, across from Faneuil Hall and Christopher Columbus Park.
Open Artists Markets: The two most popular open markets in Boston take place on the Greenway and in the South End. The Greenway Open Market welcomes local artists, crafters and designers, as well as some national independent designers, to downtown Boston every Saturday from May to October. The South End Open Market (SoWa) takes place Sundays from May to October, and features local artists and farmers from 10am-4pm. If you get hungry while you’re browsing the tents don’t worry, there’s always plenty of food truck options for you to choose from at both locations!
Theater: When night falls, take in a show at one of Boston’s legendary theaters. Riverdance comes to the Wang Citicenter May10-15 with new costumes, new lighting, new projections and the addition of a brand new number, “Anna Livia,” featuring the female members of the Irish dance troupe in an acapella hard-shoe number. Cirque Du Soleil Kurios – Cabinet of Curiosities – opens at Suffolk Downs May 26. Ste into the curio cabinet of an ambitious inventor who defies the laws of time, space and dimension in order to reinvent everything around him.
