One of the most popular Boston open markets, the South End Open Market (SoWA) sets up every Sunday from end of May to early October. Situated in a three-block area off Harrison Street in Boston’s trendy South End, SoWa features everything from local food trusts to a Farmer’s Market, arts market and antique market. Come here for handmade pottery, jewelry and crafts, gourmet food and unique art.
Greenway Open Market
Situated along the Rose Kennedy Greenway in downtown Boston you’ll find the Greenway Open Market every Saturday from May to October. Stop by the various vendors and peruse the vast display of handmade and local products including jewelry, pottery, clothes, accessories and eco-friendly items. While you’re here, don’t forget to take a spin on the Greenway Carousel.
Cambridge Open Market
The Cambridge Open Market sets up every Friday in the plaza at Harvard University. Shop local vendors selling everything from handmade art, vintage jewelry and décor, and specialty foods. If you get hungry, the food trucks are parked right outside the plaza to feed any appetite.
Boston Public Market
Opening this July is the much-anticipated Boston Public Market, located at Haymarket Station, where the North End connects to Faneuil Hall. This year-round food market will be open Wednesday through Sunday and feature fresh, locally-sourced food. Also opening is The Kitchen at the Boston Public Market, which offers year-round programs for budding chefs and foodies.
