With all the hustle throughout the year, it is easy to forget the true essence of Thanksgiving: Gratitude.
As we strive to care and do the best for our guests, employees, and the community, it is our responsibility to make sure all donations were counted and provided to the people and community that were in need of our tremendous support. By ranking, we had mainly donated to human services; health care; education; animal welfare; art, culture & humanities; and community improvement causes.
Within the past year, there were 83 luxury accommodations donated which were equated to $51,000 in value.
Earlier this year XV Beacon donated a total of 60 pounds of linen sheets and towels to the Animal Rescue League and plan to continue this new tradition in years to come.
We also participate in Clean the World soap program, where we donate all of our unused bath amenity products on a quarterly basis. To date, we have donated 213 bars of soap, which equates to 23 total pounds of donated soap and 280 pounds of collected plastic.
In addition, we are Boston’s most pet-friendly hotel and find it important to give back to the four pawed community on a monthly basis. 50% of the proceeds from our pet fee have been distributed to a variety of charities, amounting to $3,500 in total revenue year to date. Some of the charities we have donated to:
- Animal Rescue League of Boston
- ASPCA
- Human Society of the United States
- World Wildlife fund
- Best Friends Animal Society
